Artificial Intelligence in Education PD – Course Overview

This hybrid professional development course is designed to help educators understand and integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education effectively. Participants will explore AI tools, learn practical applications for teaching and learning, and discuss the ethical implications of AI in the classroom. The course is offered through Ashland University with multiple credit hour options to accommodate different levels of engagement.

Credit Hour Options

  • Session I (1 Credit Hour): 12.5 total hours (2 face-to-face + 10.5 online) – $185.00

  • Session II (2 Credit Hours): 25 total hours (4 face-to-face + 21 online) – $370.00

  • Session III (3 Credit Hours): 37.5 total hours (6 face-to-face + 31.5 online) – $555.00

All course materials and assignments will be submitted through Moodle, providing a structured online learning environment for collaboration and assessment.

Location

Face-to-face sessions will be held at National Trail Local Schools, offering educators a hands-on opportunity to explore AI tools in an interactive setting.

Course Topics

  1. Understanding AI Fundamentals
